Open Air Hub, the new tool created by the CISET (International Center for Studies on the Tourism Economy) of the Ca’ Foscari University as part of the dissemination of innovation and the qualification of companies in the open-air hospitality sector, and designed specifically for companies in the open air sector, was presented in a webinar by Faita-Federcamping.
“We want to create a moment of discussion between operators in the sector to better understand how to manage both the website and the sale of the services themselves”, declared the President of Faita-FederCamping Alberto Granzotto. “It is a discussion table where pose issues to be explored in the coming months to then provide increasingly tailored tools for the world of open-air tourism, also with a view to digitization as required by the PNRR”.
Valeria Minghetti, CISET research area manager, explained: “Since 2022 we have been working with Faita-FederCamping to enhance the Open Air world and to increase the diffusion of business culture and innovation, presenting a preview of new software for the collection of information in a single hub in order to always have updated content in order to disseminate it. We are also framing the sector at a regional and national level by providing information that thus proves to be very useful for quantifying the sector according to various points of view. We collaborate with Marco Bishops for some years”.
Marco Vescovi, founding partner of Jampaa.it, detailed the characteristics of the new tool available to Italian entrepreneurs. “With Jampaa.it we help companies with technology to improve their stay and help generate value. Currently there is an excess of information and we have a shortage of attention, but at the same time a growing importance for travel, stimulated by photos and videos that create emotions. Users themselves often generate them through social networks and the structures also use them to produce multimedia content. Currently, however, they are not centralized but scattered across many different portals and social networks. A new Open Air Hub software was therefore born (at the moment so called) which combines the functions necessary to digitally manage the information that manages the structure, with a specific language for the Open Air sector. Multimedia files and information on the campsite are managed in an organized manner, so that they can then be disseminated on the various channels. We are therefore talking about digital touch points, which allow from a single hub, by initially entering information and content, to automatically update them where possible and directly inform the various dissemination channels, allowing effective and updated management. This improves the customer experience with multiple advantages for campsites. It is a simple portal which can be accessed with a user name and password. This gives access to a dashboard, with a menu for the various operating functions, users can be created with different types of access. Ease of use will be extreme and very simple”.
The day then ended with many questions from entrepreneurs and insiders interested in this new software, judged and received very positively by the whole audience.
