What is Wpvc and why choose Profilmi products?
Wpvc is a material composed of 80% expanded regenerated Pvc and 20% regenerated wood flour; only 20% of the latter to keep the physical and mechanical properties intact, so that the profile does not deteriorate over time, compared to the classic life cycle of a profile made up of 100% wood. We have also chosen Pvc as a base because it is the best among polymers for outdoor use as:
- It is resistant to high and low temperatures
- It does not interact with atmospheric agents
- It’s isolating
- It’s fireproof
- It has high mechanical properties
- It has minimal expansion
Profilmi products are ideal for outdoor use thanks to these characteristics, they are resistant to mould, bacteria and fungi, and they don’t rot in contact with water and atmospheric agents. In addition, Profilmi products are PSV (Plastic Second Life) certified green products, compliant with the minimum environmental criteria and free from heavy metals (according to the European RHOS standard). They are patented, glueable, handcrafted but above all unique because we have been producing them for 35 years and the whole supply chain is 100% Italian, from the raw material to the finished product.
