Spain, is one of Europe’s leading countries for outdoor vacations, and the Girocamping PRO Congress is an important event that brings together those in the open-air industry. The event will take place at the Civic Center of Sant Pere Pescador, a small municipality in the autonomous community of Catalonia, known for being one of the world’s leading destinations for water skiers. In addition to this peculiarity, it is a location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea with a truly unique natural territory, ideal for a vacation immersed in nature.
The perfect location to host the congress organized by theGirona Camping Association, with a program featuring presentations on various topics from the past, present and future of the camping industry. The PRO Gyrocamping is proposed as a perfect setting to learn about new products and services and to create synergies.
The program will include: the presentation of the study“Camping: history ofcamping in Catalonia,” which aims to understand the evolution and impact of camping in Catalonia over its 70-year history. It will offer a historical and analytical perspective of the sector, illustrating how it has grown and adapted to socio-economic and cultural changes and helping to chart the future of camping in the region.
This will be followed by the presentation of the study“Economic Impact of the Camping Sector in Girona Counties,” a panel discussion on green tourism: “Green vacations: beyond sustainable certifications,” and another on the“Smart Camp” project.
Also, starting at 7 p.m., the Girona Camping Night will take place, the closing event of the 7th edition of the PRO 2024 Girocamping Congress. The celebration, dinner and awards ceremony will take place at La Ballena Alegre Camping & Bungalow Resort & Spa in Sant Pere Pescador.
In this edition of Girocamping PRO, participation will be reserved exclusively for tourism industry operators, such as accommodation facilities, tourism companies, tourism public administrations, etc. Participation of supplier companies in the tourism sector will be limited to those companies participating with a networking space.
