After the 2024 event held in the Australian city of Perth, anticipation is high again this year. The WTTC is the global event that confirms tourism as a key pillar of the world economy, capable of bringing together business leaders, institutional representatives and tourism industry players in order to address the major challenges and opportunities that are shaping the future of the industry.

In past editions, WTTC has always hosted prestigious guests, influential speakers who have helped guide global policies and inspired change, from Barack Obama to Bill Clinton, from former UK prime ministers such as Theresa May, David Cameron and Tony Blair, to former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

At last year’s WTTC, the WTTC stage hosted John Kerry, 68th U.S. Secretary of State, who addressed the pressing issues of climate change and sustainable tourism, as well as conservationist Robert Irwin, who shared reflections on the role of tourism in protecting natural habitats.
