The Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the Minister of Tourism, approved yesterday, May 19, 2025, the draft decree amending the rules on landscape authorization and simplifying them. This is an important innovation for the outdoor tourism sector that affects mobile means of overnight accommodation.
Caravans, mobile homes and motorhomes that will stay in camping areas will not have to be permanently anchored to the ground but easily removable, sothat the original state of the sites can be restored once they are removed. In addition, as can be seen from the FAITA Federcamping website, within facilities that already have a landscape permit, an additional permit will no longer be required for each individual mobile vehicle.
The legislation also provides a simplified procedure for the construction of grid infrastructure and changes in the distribution of equipped areas with electric, water and sewer utilities.
Alberto Granzotto, president of FAITA Federcamping, said, “Approval in the Council of Ministers shapes a new way of planning investments in the Open Air tourism sector. Simplification will ensure certainty, speed and quality in economic planning, which will also benefit employment. Facilities will be able to accommodate guests in sustainable and low-impact ways, in line with international standards. Sincere thanks to Ministers Santanchè and Giuli for their commitment “.
