A nice opportunity for those who are already professionals and want to update and refine their skills, or for those aiming for an education in the open air sector, with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Master of Sustainable Outdoor Hospitality Management is the first European master’s program on hospitality and camping management that includes a multi-level professional master’s program in which theory and practice are combined.
The unique educational proposal is offered through the collaboration of three European universities: theUniversity of Breda, Netherlands; theUniversity of Rijeka-FTHM, Croatia; and theUniversity of Girona, Spain.
Studying in three different countries
The rich program of the Master of Sustainable Outdoor Hospitality Management includes the opportunity to study 6 months in each of the three countries, and 6 months in the chosen country to finish the course and develop the final thesis.
Classes for the first 6 months will be held at the University of Applied Sciences in Breda (in close cooperation with the Master’s in Tourism Destination Management). The second semester at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, Croatia. During this period, students will also have the opportunity to intern in a camping facility with special focus in stakeholder engagement, human resource management, concept design and strategic management.
In the second year, classes will take place at the University of Girona (Spain), where students will have the opportunity to deepen academic and business management skills. The final fourth semester will combine work as an intern with a field research project and a thesis to be developed in a context chosen by the student.
