A New Landmark for Outdoor Tourism
Switzerland’s stunning natural setting is preparing to welcome a modern infrastructure that blends seamlessly into the surrounding environment. The final approval of the project marks a major milestone for the development of tourism in the Ticino region, which has long been a favorite destination for hikers and travelers from all over Europe. The Brione Alpine Campground was created with the goal of offering a high-quality hospitality experience, meeting the growing demand for vacations immersed in unspoiled nature. Outdoor enthusiasts will find state-of-the-art amenities designed to ensure maximum comfort, without ever detracting from the wild beauty of the surrounding landscape.
The campground’s facilities and opening date
The new lodging complex will cover an area of approximately 12,000 square meters and has been designed to accommodate a variety of travelers. The site will feature equipped campsites for 50 RVs, designated areas for tents, and 13 cozy wooden cabins designed for those seeking a comfortable stay. A main building will house the reception area, a snack bar, a multipurpose room, and a communal kitchen, while a separate building will be dedicated to restroom facilities. The official inauguration and public opening of the Brione Alpine Campground are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027.
A Significant Economic and Employment Impact
The positive impact on the local community will be immediate and significant starting from the moment the lodging facility opens. The construction of the complex will, in fact, lead to the creation of up to eight new jobs, offering valuable career opportunities to residents of the mountain region. In addition to the employment aspect, official estimates predict a truly remarkable influx of tourists, calculated at approximately 27,000 overnight stays per year, which will boost the economy of the entire valley. Small businesses, traditional restaurants, and local services will benefit greatly from this steady stream of visitors eager to discover local traditions.
Toward a Modern and Sustainable Hospitality Model
The start of construction marks the beginning of a new era for the outdoor lodging sector in this renowned mountain resort. The facility will be built in accordance with strict environmental sustainability and energy-efficiency standards, minimizing the visual and ecological impact of the project. Today’s travelers are increasingly seeking solutions that combine the freedom of camping with high-quality restroom facilities and shared recreational areas. This strategic investment will ensure the highest standards, positioning the valley among the most sought-after destinations for anyone looking to plan a nature-focused vacation.
