“Have you ever tried Glamping?” This is the question that new campers have also heard asked at least once in recent years. The glamping business is acquiring ever greater volumes over time and the interest in structures that promise this type of experience is increasing. But what are the most beautiful glamping sites in Europe? Here is a selection and tell us what you think in the comments and on Mondo Camping’s Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin pages.<\/p>\n\n

United Kingdom<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Eco Retreats, Powys (Wales). Here it is possible to immerse yourself in the nature of an organic farm at the end of a dirt path: the ideal corner to reconnect with the rhythms of life among meadows and centuries-old oak forests. All accommodations are equipped with double beds, a wood stove or fireplace and have an outdoor toilet and spring water shower. Guests are offered a complimentary evening meditation session.<\/p>\n\n

Canna Camping Holidays, Inner Hebrides (Scotland). If your desire is to put as much distance between yourself and the rest of the world, the bunkhouses of this glamping site on the island of Canna, the furthest from the Scottish mainland of the Hebrides, are an option to consider. There are just 19 inhabitants on the island, tents and houses have a wood stove, electricity (solar), double beds and single futons (but bathroom and shower are shared). In the morning, when you open your eyes, you might see whales or dolphins swimming in the sea.<\/p>\n\n

Teapot Lane Luxury Camp, County Leitrim, Ireland. An uncontaminated corner of north-west Ireland, three yurts immersed in 2 hectares of woodland. King size beds to accommodate 2 to 5 people, carpets and wood burning stoves, toilets and catering in the nearby renovated country cottages, barbecues, hammocks and swings in the woods.<\/p>\n\n

Jolly Days, Yorkshire. How about changing your air bed for a canopy one? Jolly Days, which opened last summer, is the UK’s latest initiative to jump on the glamping bandwagon. It is made up of seven bell tents and seven tented lodges, in 80 hectares of private woodland on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, in north-east England. In the lodges, which can accommodate up to six people, there are four-poster beds, chandeliers, sofas around a wood-burning stove and toilets; the bell tents are more minimal, with coconut mattresses and futon sofa beds, for four people each. There are communal showers, as well as a communal fire pit, a cooking hut and a clay oven.<\/p>\n\n

Kudhva, Cornwall, England. Hidden in the heart of Cornwall are these asymmetrical three-legged huts called Kudhva, a word from the local dialect which means “hiding place”. Particularly elegant tree houses, ideal for nature and adventure lovers who do not want to give up comfort and luxury. Added to the Kudhva are Danish cabins, Tentsile suspended tents and the inevitable Tipi.<\/p>\n\n

Spain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Eco Luxury Yurt Suite, Lanzarote. A series of luxury eco yurts within the family-run Finca de Arrieta estate, 30km from the capital Arrecife. They can accommodate up to five people and are beautifully decorated with rich fabrics, wooden floors and antique Mongolian hardwood furniture. There is also a bathroom with marble flooring, an outdoor kitchen and a garden with a Polynesian-style lounger, perfect for a sunset aperitif. The small sandy beach is just 200 meters away, as is the nearby fishing village of Arrieta.<\/p>\n\n

Casas Karen, Los Ca\u00f1os de Meca, Cadiz, Spain. A small rustic village hidden in a garden of pine trees and sand dunes, just a few minutes walk from the nearest beach. There are 11 cottages and chozas, traditional Spanish beach huts with thatched and bamboo roofs, to live in close contact with the sea, so much so that it is even possible to go on dolphin-watching excursions.<\/p>\n\n

Camping Miramar, Spain. A little kitsch, a little glamorous, a little retro: Miramar, on the Costa Dorada, is a truly freak glamping site, with its ultra-vintage caravans and bright colors for those who don’t pay too much attention to form.<\/p>\n\n

Portugal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Eco-Lodge Brejeira, Algarve, Portugal. An eco retreat in the heart of the Algarve, near the town of Silves, with a Mongolian yurt with a raised veranda to watch the sunset, an old-fashioned Dutch gypsy caravan or a converted German fire truck. In the straw bale communal building, breakfast and a three-course dinner are served upon request. Perfect for exploring the nearby beaches, or traveling the Via Algarviana on foot or by MTB, which passes right under Brejeira.<\/p>\n\n

Areias do Seixo, A dos Cunhados, Portugal. More than luxury glamping, real villas with everything you need to disconnect surrounded by nature: spa, fireplaces and fireplaces, design and everything you need for a true romantic escape.<\/p>\n\n

Bukubaki Eco Resort, Mendo, Portugal. An eco-surf resort with outdoor pool, sauna and skate park where you can choose between tents or tree houses. Time passes by taking surfing lessons, having fun skateboarding or practicing yoga and pilates with qualified instructors. The perfect mix of nature and relaxation in a back to basics style environment and the possibility of unplugging in this splendid area of Portugal.<\/p>\n\n

France<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Quirky Camping, Dordogne, France. A family-run campsite in the Dordogne with yurts for up to 4 people, outdoor kitchen\/dining area, feed pigs and free-range chickens to wake up to fresh eggs every morning. There are many characteristic villages around to visit and within the campsite therapeutic massages and reiki for parents, bread making and face painting for children.<\/p>\n\n

Domaine Les Moulins, Noirmoutier Island, France. A real wow effect for this Domaine Les Moulins located off the coast of Vend\u00e9e. There’s a series of canvas lodges (sleeping two to eight) and tipis (sleeping four) \u2013 with actual beds, kitchens, dining areas and even private bathrooms in some cases \u2013 set in five hectares of pine trees and dunes along a beach. Put on your hiking boots to explore the nearby villages, hop on the Noirmoutier train (it stops right in front of the campsite) to reach the town centre, or simply relax in the heated indoor or outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub and spa.<\/p>\n\n

Echology, Pays de la Loire, France. Tents, perched huts or floating cabins accessible only by boat or canoe: Echologia is an ecotourism recreational park in Mayenne offering a wide range of unusual accommodation. Here guests can enjoy a private natural swimming pool, access to the Natur’eauparc, a shooting course and a canoe trip. Not to mention the organic breakfast that is left every morning on your doorstep.<\/p>\n\n

Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Lazy Olive Glamping, Tuscany. An idyllic setting, an enchanting atmosphere and an incredibly romantic aura are the characteristics of The Lazy Olive Glamping.
