At the 1st Basque Country Camping Gala<\/strong>, the president of theCamping Association, Juan Luis Saez<\/strong>, shared significant data for entrepreneurs in the Basque camping world (Spain). Having emerged and discussed the “bottlenecks” on which to intervene in order to revitalize and consolidate the camping sector in the Basque Country, a happy note at the 1st Basque Camping Gala was precisely the awarding of prizes to the most important figures in the association and the sector. The Association of Campgrounds of the Basque Country honored the first directive junta in 1988, represented by first vice president Juan Ram\u00f3n Albarr\u00e1n<\/strong>, first treasurer Javier Macazaga <\/strong>, and secretary Ion Aguirrezaldegui<\/strong>. Oscar Arana <\/strong>was awarded the emblem of the Basque Country Campground Association, of which he was president, and also for his work in managing the Igueldo campground<\/strong>. Award also given to one of the oldest campsites in the Basque Country<\/strong>, Camp Oliden<\/strong>, located halfway between Donostia <\/strong>and France<\/strong>, in the heart of Oarsoaldea, which opened its doors 60 years ago.
