Online camping<\/strong> reservations <\/strong>, analyzed through Septeo Hospitality<\/strong>‘s monthly barometer, confirmed a positive start<\/strong> to the 2024 season<\/strong>. The period from October 2023 to the end of January 2024 showed a remarkable 23% compared with the same period in the previous year. January showed a 16 percent<\/strong> growth in bookings<\/strong>, reflecting the positive trend<\/strong>already shown in December<\/strong>. A 23 percent increase<\/strong> was recorded from October to January, indicating a promising start to the season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Lots of positive data<\/h2>\n\n

Average rent is up 2.2% to \u20ac1,296, while average space occupancy has remained stable at \u20ac631 (-0.2%). In terms of length of stay, a slight decrease was observed for rental spaces (-0.8%) to 8.37 days, while bare spaces saw a more pronounced decrease, dropping to 9.36 days (-5.2%).<\/p>\n\n

Reservations by country in Europe<\/h2>\n\n

France<\/strong>, despite a slight decrease, still accounts for 59 percent of the overall booking volume. The German <\/strong>market remains stable at 9 percent, while the Dutch <\/strong>and Belgian <\/strong>markets show slight growth at 15 percent and 8 percent, respectively, at the end of January. Britain<\/strong> remains at 4 percent.<\/p>\n\n

The seasonal trend<\/h2>\n\n

The breakdown <\/strong>of stays shows that more than 25 percent of stays<\/strong> are concentrated in August, with a slight growth<\/strong> from 2023. July shows lower volume<\/strong> than August and down from January 2023.<\/p>\n\n

Low season outlook<\/h2>\n\n

In the off-season, bookings<\/strong> are expected to decrease in April<\/strong> compared to 2023, while May <\/strong>exceeds expectations. After a decline in late December<\/strong>, June <\/strong>shows a slight recovery in late January.<\/p>\n\n
