This is a factor not to be underestimated considering that very few trees shade it, only the endemic <strong>Canary Island Palms<\/strong> are more numerous, beautiful and often lonely in a landscape reminiscent of the Moon.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Lanzarote enchants with its arid vistas of brown earth where snow-white villages spring up, yet the nature of this island is extraordinary, so much so that it has been declared a <strong>UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.<\/strong> Lanzarote&#8217;s territory has as many as 30 active volcanoes, and boasts an incredible variety of landscapes, all carefully protected: <strong>about 40 percent of the land is regulated by bans to preserve its beauty.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<p>A virtuous island, to be discovered on foot or by bicycle along the many trekking routes that traverse the volcanic terrain, designed by the typical conical morphology shaped by numerous eruptions.
