An in-depth look at the innovation of modular design and reuse in Olympic infrastructure will be presented at Milan Design Week 2025: Societ\u00e0 Infrastrutture Milano Cortina <\/strong>and Fondazione Milano Cortina<\/strong> will exhibit an exclusive installation, dedicated to the Village of Cortina d’Ampezzo in view of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Appointment April 7 to 13, at Piazza del Compasso d’Oro 1, at ADI Museo del Design<\/strong>, to see a preview of the housing experience designed to accommodate the athletes of the XXV Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The initiative emphasizesmodular design innovation<\/strong>, sustainability <\/strong>and reuse of temporary infrastructure<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The project <\/h2>\n\n

What sets the proposal apart is itscircular approach<\/strong>, based on the use of modular<\/strong>, mobile home<\/strong> solutions<\/strong> on wheels<\/strong> that do not involve land consumption: the structures do not require permanent foundations and will be removed in their entirety at the end of competitions. This makes them fully reusable in the open-air hospitality sector. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The modules are EPD (Environmental Product Declaration)<\/strong> Certified, and ensure a low environmental impact throughout their lifecycle; in addition, they are designed to ensure inclusive and accessible hospitality for all<\/strong>, in line with the Olympic values of equality, diversity and respect.<\/p>\n\n

377 mobile housing solutions and modular facilities ensure barrier-free housing, placing the well-being of each athlete at the center and providing flexible solutions for different needs, with 50 percent of the units fully accessible.<\/p>\n\n
