Season to be framed for the campsites of Italian-speaking Switzerland. And even though most of these autumn weekends are closing for the winter, there is no shortage of facilities that have decided to remain open, welcoming tourists seeking out-of-season tranquility. While among the tourists on the one hand there are those who have taken advantage of the good weather, on the other there are many regulars who plan their holidays even in winter, to enjoy the extraordinary sun and above all the tranquility, since there are fewer people around.
«After the two years of the covid we expected a significant reduction in overnight stays. Instead, to date it appears that there has been a reduction of 10% compared to 2021. However, we have recorded a 42% more than in the 2019 season. It means that the passion, rediscovery and pleasure of camping have remained», tells Mattia Galli, regional manager of TCS Camping, at the microphones of RSI.
«I believe that for many campsites it would be an advantage to remain open also in order to be able to offer more interesting employment contracts to those who are now seasonal collaborators», adds Simone Patelli, president of Ticino Turismo.
