Open air, a turnover of 2.5 billion with glamping at top

Isaholidays is a group of holiday villages located on the Adriatic Sea, with 4-star facilities directly overlooking the sea. The company is a leader in the open-air sector with significant experience in camping villages and glamping, a major trend in open-air tourism in the last ten years. In 2022 and 2023 Isaholidays continued to encourage its hospitality proposal by focusing on glamping, planning the opening of two new structures in Tuscany and in Veneto, the latter with an eco-chic imprint.

Within the Italian panorama, this is an investment that confirms the appeal of open-air holidays. The 2022 turnover reached 2.5 billion euros (Thrends – Human Company) with lodges, transparent bubbles and bio-architecture accommodation playing a decisive role in the business. “Ours has always been a sector capable of changing and anticipating demand trends – Silvia Pagnan, sales and marketing manager of Isaholidays explained to TTG -. It happened in the 1970s when enlightened entrepreneurs had the intuition to transform large camping with pitches for campers frequented mostly by foreigners in villages equipped with small housing units, which today have become accommodations capable of keeping up, for comfort, with hotel standards”.

A choice that made history by allowing a new development of open-air tourism and projecting it towards an offer that is still immersed in nature, even more attentive to sustainability, but reserved for a high-spending range. “We are talking about an experience that is always in contact with nature, but not a cheap one – highlighted Pagna -. It is a medium-high range holiday, which convinces because it is able to offer free services such as a kids’ club, water parks and many activities for each member of the family”.

With its characteristics that have now become a source of continuous innovation for the sector, Italian glamping is also ready to start the 2023 season.
