Prices are rising in European campsites, but camping remains the most convenient solution for holidays in 2023. This is the trend returned by the PiNCAMP analysis, taking into consideration the opening of the structures already for the Easter period.
Almost all European states record price increases of almost 10%. There is a negative trend only in Great Britain, caused by the weakness of the pound, that reaches 9.8%. Analyzing in detail the analysis on PiNCAMP’s 2023 prices, the 14.7% increase in Croatia stands out, while Germany is the only state to exceed the 11% increase, and Austria standing instead at 10.9%. Two states maintain a price growth of less than 10%, they are Spain (9.8%) and Italy (9.8%). Both Denmark (7.8%) and the Netherlands (7.6%) remain below 8%, while the increases in Sweden (4.3%), Switzerland (2.5%) and above all that of France equal to just 0.9%.
Choosing camping for your holidays will therefore cost more, but – says the CEO of PiNCAMP Uwe Frers – going camping is still the most convenient formula in Europe. “Adjusting prices according to the periods – explains Frers – can bring considerable benefits and for this reason I recommend booking your holidays well in advance”.
