The 10 most popular campsites in Europe according to Pincamp

Those who dream of spending the summer surrounded by nature, lying on a comfortable camping chair and enjoying the freedom and flexibility that only a camping holiday can offer, should look to Germany.

According to Uwe Frers, CEO of ADAC Camping GmbH, the camping sector has made significant progress in recent years, investing heavily in the quality of facilities even during the pandemic. This choice has translated into the ability to respond to the growing needs of service and comfort of camping guests.

Based on usage data, the ADAC Pincamp portal has identified campsites that are predicted to be particularly popular in 2023. Thus, it turned out that while campsites in Italy and Croatia enjoy great popularity, Germany also offers this that travelers are looking for.

In first place in the ranking of the most popular campsites in Europe is Camping Park Umag in Croatia. With a five out of five star rating from ADAC, it is considered a “super place” to spend your holidays. In second place is the Villaggio Turistico Internazionale, located in Bibione, near Venice, which offers a variety of services and obtained a score of 66 compared to the previous year.

The top 3 of the most popular European campsites is completed by Camping – und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals, located in Germany. This campsite is located on a peninsula between the Baltic Sea and a shallow bay and offers a dedicated spa area as well as sports facilities such as diving, pony riding and golf.

Another German campsite earned a spot in the top 10: Südsee-Camp, located in Wietzendorf near Soltau, took seventh place. Thanks to its playgrounds, indoor wave pool and high ropes climbing garden, this campsite is particularly popular with families with small children.
