Nine campsites in the province of Tarragona recently received recognition during the ACSI Awards 2023, organized by the Auto Camper Service International campsite guide. The awards ceremony was held on May 23 in Altea (Valencia community) allowing to celebrate, in fact, excellence in the Spanish camping sector.
Playa Montroig Camping Resort was awarded the title of Best Campsite in Spain, confirming its leading position in the sector. The structure has been awarded for the excellent hospitality and high quality services offered to visitors. Campers appreciated the seaside location and the wide range of recreational activities available.
Another top campsite in the province, La Torre del Sol in Mont-roig del Camp, has been awarded the title of Spain’s funniest children’s campsite. The award demonstrates the campsite’s commitment to recreating a safe and engaging environment for the little ones, offering opportunities for recreation and entertainment.
Seven campsites in the province of Tarragona then received an honorable mention for being included in the 50 best campsites in Spain. These structures have been appreciated for their hospitality, the care of the surrounding area and the wide range of services offered to users. In detail, the campsites that have received this honorable mention are: Camping Estanyet in Les Cases d’Alcanar, Alannia Els Prats in Mont-roig del Camp, Camping Joan Bungalow Park in Cambrils, Camping La Losa & Bungalow Park in Cambrils, Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou, Tamarit Beach Resort in Tarragona and Stel Camping & Bungalows Holiday resort in Roda de Bera.
Mireia Sans, president of the Costa Dorada and Terres de l’Ebre campsites association, expressed satisfaction with the result: “We are extremely proud that nine campsites on the Costa Dorada and Terres de l’Ebre have been recognized among the fifty best in the country, and that one of them was voted the best overall.Our province is a leader in the sector – said Mireia Sans -.I want to thank all the campsites for the investments made and for the service they offer to visitors , it’s a major effort.”
