The recovery of tourism is driving employment

The very positive summer forecasts in the open-air sector in Spain are driving up the demand for jobs. According to the Spanish Camping Federation (FEEC), as many as 8,000 new hires of qualified staff are expected during the 2023 season. The most sought-after figures include receptionists with language skills, cooks, waiters, maintenance staff, cleaners, lifeguards and entertainers. Currently, more than 800 FEEC member structures are actively involved in the search for new employees and a certain optimism has arisen in the territories, especially in the rural regions.

Facilities tend to prefer hiring local staff, but there are also room and board offers designed to attract employees from other areas. Most of the hirings are temporary, with seasonal renewals.
