Fri-Tur, extension of application to access incentives aimed at hospitality enterprises

Fri-Tur, the Revolving Fund for Business Support and Development Investment in Tourism, is the incentive provided among the investments of the NRPR, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan promoted by the Ministry of Tourism, with the participation of Abi and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

The grant, managed by Invitalia, is an important opportunity for hospitality facilities, including many in the open-air sector.

The planned incentives are an important financial instrument. The purpose is to support the investments of small and medium-sized enterprises that have difficulty accessing credit by making improvements in the fields of digitization and environmental protection, key elements for an increasingly smart and up-to-date supply.

Basic requirements

Some basic requirements are required to apply such as:

  • Operating a tourist accommodation or service business in properties or areas owned by or for third parties;
  • Be duly incorporated with registration in the commercial register;
  • Not be in a state of liquidation including voluntary liquidation or bankruptcy;
  • Have a stable business organization in the national territory;
  • Be in compliance with building, zoning, labor, accident prevention, environmental protection and contribution obligations;
  • Have an ordinary accounting system;
  • Have a positive credit rating from the lending bank, with a resolution issued by the lending bank;
  • Adopt a special hoped-for accounting scheme for those in the agricultural or fishery sector;

What is planned

The investment must include expenses, net of VAT, between 500 thousand and 10 million for the following interventions:

  • Energy and earthquake retrofitting;
  • Elimination of architectural barriers;
  • Extraordinary maintenance, restoration and renovation, building renovation, installation of lightweight artifacts;
  • Spa pools (only for spas);
  • digitization;
  • Purchase or renovation of furniture.

Applications can be submitted from 12 noon on July 1, 2024 until 12 noon on September 12, 2024. Projects must be implemented no later than December 31, 2025.
