ACSI CEO Ramon van Reine presented the coveted ACSI Austria 2026 Awards, and for the first time, the prestigious Innovation Award, at this year’s Austrian camping industry congress in Graz.
As reported by the ACSI portal, it was the campers who decided, and this is what distinguishes the ACSI Awards from other industry awards: there is no jury of experts but the Guests themselves determine the winners who excelled in nine different categories.
Ramon van Reine said, “This is the fifth year we have given out the ACSI Awards, and each year more and more people vote,” says van Reine. “This 2026 nearly 100,000 votes were received, which makes the recognition for campsites even more valuable.”
The winners and the Innovation Award
This year, for the first time, ACSI also awarded an Innovation Award, recognition for particularly future-oriented entrepreneurship in the industry, with a focus on smart technologies and sustainable open-air solutions. The Austrian award was won by Camping Ferienparadies Natterer See for its “Secret Koi Garden“.
As Van Reine explains in the ACSI portal, “At Secret Koi Garden, guests stay overnight in lodges, each dedicated to a specific koi fish, with coordinated design, history, and atmosphere. The concept combines upscale glamping with a well-thought-out nature experience “.
