The ‘Waldbad Oberau’ campsite, awarded by the German Tourism Association, is located on the north-western edge of the Friedewald, a large forest area stretching between Moritzburg and Weinböhla and belonging to the LSG ‘Friedewald und Moritzburger Teichgebiet’. It is located north of Weinböhla in the middle of forests and meadows and in the vicinity of other ponds. The site is 2 km from the Niederau railway station on the Leipzig – Riesa – Dresden line.
