La Mariposa

La Mariposa is a camping village in Alghero, directly overlooking the crystal-clear sea of the Riviera del Corallo in north-western Sardinia. Founded in 1956 as one of the first camping villages in Sardinia, Camping La Mariposa is located in a strategic position: it is just one and a half kilometres from the historic centre and the tourist port of Alghero, a beautiful Catalan town, and about 6 km from Fertilia airport.
Camping La Mariposa is to experience a holiday in a free, playful way and in close contact with nature, just 5 metres from the renowned beach of Alghero. In the waters in front of the campsite you can go kite surfing with professional instructors, go diving in the Porto Conte Marine Reserve and in the fascinating underwater caves of the Coral Riviera; you can sail in real corners of paradise such as the Alghero roadstead, the cliffs of Punta Giglio and Capo Caccia; you can try your hand at surfing, wind surfing or paragliding, making tandem flights to admire the Bay of Alghero and the Argentiera from above. It is also possible to hire cars and mountain bikes for guided excursions along the magnificent Porto Conte trails. The La Mariposa Camping Village also offers efficient bar, grocery and pizzeria services. Care, cleanliness and courtesy have been at home since 1956.
