The campsite is located in Punta Braccetto, a small tourist and seaside resort halfway between the archaeological sites of Kamarina and Caucana and 4 km from the town of Santa Croce Camerina (Ragusa). The geographical position is characteristic: Punta Braccetto is in fact below the parallel of Tunis. The dunes, the greenery and the landscape make it a piece of Africa in a land steeped in the culture of Magna Graecia. The Scarabeo Camping extends over two small lots, totalling about 12,000 square metres. It has direct access to the beautiful beach of fine golden sand of the Punta Braccetto bay, from which one can admire the remains of Torre Vigliena (1700) and a fortification defending the fertile coastline, dotted with the characteristic greenhouses where early fruit and the famous cherry tomato are cultivated. The sea always has the intense blue colour and the natural, uncontaminated warmth of the Sicilian Channel. Particular attention has been paid to the sanitary facilities, proportionate to the number of guests: they are assigned and entrusted to individual crews. An extra guarantee of hygiene, privacy and cleanliness. At the Scarabeo you can also stay in pretty mobile homes surrounded by green lawns, palm trees and flowering plants: they are equipped with all comforts and there are comfortable and functional wooden verandas in front of them.
