Easter in Veneto: boom in bookings for campsites and resorts

Alberto Granzotto, president FAITA Federcamping said, “Facilities are ready to welcome tourists, who are increasingly attracted to open-air offerings and sensitive to service quality, inclusion, and sustainability. Easter? The horizon is bright “.

Despite weather that may be uncertain, forecasts brighten the start of the Veneto open-air season. This is confirmed by data on theaverage acquired occupancy of facilities, which reached 47.4 percent of capacity, up (when comparing percentages) by as much as 9 percentage points from last year when occupancy reached 38.4 percent.

Another positive data point that emerges is the increase in the number of stay days compared to 2024, with the significant increase of Maundy Thursday registering +15 percentage points, and Easter Monday, with +10 percentage points.

The data also reveal the growthof tourists and where they come from: on the rise Austrians, Danes, and especially the Swiss, who rise from a 2.2 percent share to a 5 percent share. Italians are also on the rise, while Germans are decreasing slightly, despite the fact that Germany is still on the top step of the podium of nationalities choosing Venetian open air.

With more than 180 campsites, an offer of 228,000 beds and a total turnover of 1.3 billion euros (including allied industries), the region’s outdoor tourism remains a flagship of national tourism, with several awards abroad and business models that many foreign countries are taking as examples.
