FAITA Tuscany and the Florence Center for Tourism Studies are joining forces to strengthen knowledge of the open-air sector. A collaboration that aims to support businesses in the sector, stimulate the competitiveness of facilities and encourage dialogue with institutions.
The Florence-based Center for Tourism Studies has been active in the investigation of the Italian tourism economy for more than 50 years, and will provide the data needed to structure four annual reports, a comprehensive analysis that includes qualitative indicators and trend studies.
Enrico Paoli, Director of FAITA Tuscany states, “This partnership is important not only for FAITA, but also for all operators and stakeholders of the association. It is a tool that allows us to support with data in hand a sector that has changed profoundly in recent years. I would like to thank CST President Giancarlo Farnetani and Director Alessandro Tortelli for sharing this path with us, which began with an open discussion and today has been concretized in a strategic agreement that will allow us to work on a reliable, constant and specific basis “.
Reports
The reports will include accurate and up-to-date quantitative analyses of average arrivals, stays, and presences, and qualitative analyses that focus on the targeted study of the clientele, which is useful for delineating guest profiles, types, and preferences, from the camping experience to evolving consumption behaviors.
President Paoli adds, “Knowing who chooses us and why is now more necessary than ever. We need to know what our guests are looking for, whether they want a sporty, relaxing or more comfort-oriented stay. Only in this way can we target the offer and improve the quality of the experience “.
He concludes, “Our association works alongside industry entrepreneurs every day. Today more than ever we need vision, expertise and the ability to adapt to new market dynamics. This agreement goes in this direction: it is an investment in the knowledge and credibility of an entire industry “.
