Every year, the ADAC camping portal PiNCAMP analyses the popularity of campsites in the individual federal states and throughout Germany. In the latest ranking, Knaus Campingpark Hennesee in Meschede reached the top in North Rhine-Westphalia, earning it the title of most popular campsite in the region. Located opposite the Hennesee lake, the four-star camp covers 15 hectares with over 500 pitches. In addition to the indoor pool in the park, the camp has a restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake. The location close to the lake makes it the ideal starting point for water sports.

The ADAC ranking is determined by page views and user reviews on PiNCAMP. The success of Campsite Hennesee is not entirely unique, two other campsites from the South Westphalia region placed in the top 10 in North Rhine-Westphalia. In sixth place is Campsite Gut Kalberschnacke in Drolshagen, followed in ninth place by Campsite Hof Biggen in Attendorn. An important result that underlines the growing attractiveness of the region for camping enthusiasts.
