The 50th edition of the most comprehensive international event in Italy dedicated to the world of hospitality and catering, which takes place at the Riva del Garda exhibition complex, ended successfully a few weeks ago, and these days Hospitality – Il Salone dell’Accoglienza returns to coincide with the Italian Song Festival.
Coinciding with Italy’s most-watched event, from Feb. 23 to 28 Hospitality is spearheading a new vision of hospitality with Casa Futuro, the interactive space created in conjunction with We Make Future, focusing on the theme ofaccessibility, a strategic lever for the growth of the tourism and hospitality sector, including the open-air sector.
Hospitality – The Hospitality Show has been carrying out this commitment for years with virtuous projects such as “DI OGNUNO Orizzonti Possibili,” which each year explores a different area of hospitality, with the aim of narrating and enhancing Universal Design as a lever of innovation and progress for businesses in the sector. An immersive and multisensory experience, with training activities and solutions designed to ensure truly inclusive and beyond-the-norm stay experiences.
In the 50th edition held in Riva del Garda, it turned the spotlight on outdoor and open-air tourism, including campgrounds, resorts, glamping, chalets and suites immersed in nature to tell how every accessibility need, whether permanent, temporary or situational, can be transformed into freedom thanks to thoughtful and inclusive design.
Hospitality – The Hospitality Show in San Remo
Talks and useful opportunities for discussion will be held at Casa Futuro to explore key issues such as the future of AI and robotics, the logic of the Creator Economy applied to brand marketing and the evolution of the music industry between algorithms and creativity. Of note will be the themes of innovation and inclusion in sports and tourism, with moments dedicated to best practices for accessibility and the presentation of the WMF Awards for the Hospitality sector.
Alessandra Albarelli, General Director of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, the organizing body of the Hospitality fair says: “Hospitality is first and foremost a cultural value. The presence at Casa Sanremo together with WMF represents a concrete signal: inclusion and innovation must proceed together to shape a sector capable of welcoming each person, enhancing their needs, diversity and sensitivity.”
Cosmano Lombardo, CEO of Search On and Founder of WMF – We Make Future adds: “We are happy to be together with Hospitality in San Remo to bring a shared vision of the future. With Casa Futuro we want to show that from the meeting of innovation, technology, hospitality, music and accessibility comes a harmony capable of generating value. Because the future is not a solo, but a common project: innovative, inclusive and accessible.”
Giovanna Voltolini, Exhibition Manager of Hospitality points out, “At Casa Futuro, our space within Casa Sanremo, we will devote special attention to the sensory dimension of environments, with a focus on the role of music and sound in creating harmonious atmospheres, calibrated to different contexts and respectful even of those with hearing sensitivities. From volume management to the acoustic design of spaces, we promote a conscious approach to sound as an element of inclusion, capable of improving the comfort and overall well-being of each guest.”
The Italian Song Festival is a good showcase to raise awareness of the importance of accessibility, not only as a social responsibility, but as a concrete lever for tourism and economic development, across the board.
