The 7th edition of Innocamping was held in conjunction with the 23rd edition of Municipalia, the International Fair of Municipal Equipment and Services, last week in Lleida, a municipality in the northeast of the autonomous community of Catalonia. This event is a reference in the calendar for those in the Spanish tourism industry, including the open-air sector, capable of bringing together owners and managers of campgrounds, resorts and vacation towns, as well as service providers to optimize facility management.
Excellent numbers from the 2025 edition that just passed: great satisfaction from the fair organizers, led by Oriol Oró, general director of Fira de Lleida. Also confirming the success of the fair was the mayor of Lleida, Félix Larrosa, who called this 7th edition of Innocamping “historic” for the numbers achieved: 360 exhibitors from 7 countries, for an event that generated an economic impact of 16 million euros.
Innocamping 2025: innovation, sustainability, safety and lots of exhibitors’ proposals
Among the most important themes that emerged during the days were innovation, sustainability and safety. One of the most relevant components of the fair are the conferences that offer updates and comparisons on the most useful topics for open-air management. This year’s focus was, “How to improve safety in campsites and prevent risks,” designed for the practical and proper management of open air facilities.
One of the main challenges facing the world of camping and tourist accommodations is how to adapt to market demands and offer customers unbeatable experiences. This situation has prompted entrepreneurs in the industry to introduce a series of changes aimed at modernizing and expanding the services and facilities offered by their establishments.
There were also many proposals from exhibitors: from mobile camping facilities, to swimming pools, as well as management of green areas, new technologies for the management of camping areas, from reservations to security. Finally, there was no shortage of Innocamping 2025 award ceremonies that recognized Spanish open air excellence in several categories.
