The Spanish Federation of Campsites (FEEC) is organizing the IV Gala Campsites de España, an event that will take place on November 16 in Madrid and which will reward the efforts and professionalism of Spanish campsites in recent years. The FEEC is committed to promoting innovation and originality in the camping industry, as well as rewarding establishments that offer a unique experience for their guests.
The fourth edition of the gala will feature different categories reflecting the campsites’ engagement in various aspects of the industry. One of the categories will be “Campsites with the most original accommodation”, which will reward establishments that offer unique, unusual and innovative environments, offering visitors an unforgettable experience.
Another important category will be the “Best Camping Experience”. In this category, the complementary offers of campsites will be considered, such as wine tourism experiences, aquatic tourism, ornithology, astrotourism and more. Campsites that stand out for their range of activities and extra experiences will be rewarded for their ability to offer a complete experience to their guests.
The award for the “Best campsite in a natural environment” will evaluate not only the quality of the campsite itself, but also its location in a natural environment and a recognized tourist attraction. Campsites which are located in scenic locations and which offer visitors an outstanding natural environment will be considered for this award.
In addition, a prize will be awarded to the “Best restaurant on the campsite”. Not only the quality and variety of the culinary offer will be evaluated, but also the commitment to zero-kilometre cuisine, thus promoting local and sustainable products.
Other awards include the “Best Year-Round Campsite”, which will recognize campsites that offer high-quality services even during the off-season, thus contributing to the sustainability and seasonality of tourist destinations. There will also be an award for ‘Most Family-Friendly Campsite’, which will highlight establishments that offer services and facilities suitable for children, such as water parks, kids’ clubs, baths adapted for children, farms, adventure parks and more.
The ‘Best Campsite on the Beach’ will be awarded to the establishment located less than 500 meters from the beach, with particular emphasis on accessibility. How the campsite makes the most of its prime location by the sea will be considered.
Another prize will be dedicated to the “Best mountain campsite”, which will evaluate not only the quality of the campsite itself, but also the offer of active tourism activities and immersion in mountain nature.
Finally, there will be an award for ‘Best Indoor Campsite’, recognizing not only the campsite itself but also its connection to the rural or urban environment in which it is located. The structures that offer a unique and engaging camping experience, even outside the open spaces, will be awarded.
Campsites interested in participating in the fourth edition of the Gala Campsites de España must submit their application by 30 June. Subsequently, three finalists will be selected for each category and announced in September.
