The European Commission has issued a new call dedicated to strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector, including camping facilities across Europe.
It is called “Supporting Sustainable Competitiveness in Tourism.” and aims to make them more competitive while promoting the green and digital transition, in line with the Tourism Transition Pathway, the EU Skills Pact and the Council’s EU Agenda for Tourism 2030.
This EU call makes €6.9 million available to fund facility modernization projects that aim for more resilient, innovative and sustainable business development, capable of fostering transition while also improving the professional skills of practitioners.
Deadline for submission of applications
Applications to“Supporting Sustainable Competitiveness in Tourism” can be submitted by May 20, 2026 through the European funding and bidding opportunities portal.
The call represents an important opportunity for growth and innovation, a strategic opportunity for European tourism, including the many Italian companies in the open-air world.
