It was 1985 when the 5* campsite Le Domaine de la Dragonnière opened to its Guests. Since then, so many have not been able to do without it. This beautiful facility located between Vias, Agde and Béziers, less than 10 minutes from theHérault beaches in the Occitanie region in the south of the country, is one of France’s most popular and sought-after outdoor destinations.
The campground accommodates cottages, family chalets or mobile home, comfort house or luxury pitch. In addition to this wide choice of accommodations for all tastes, it also offers many other amenities and a beautiful lagoon within it, fringed with palm trees with a fine sandy beach and turquoise waters, one of the very first in France and unique in the region, added in 2019 to enhance the experience of its Guests’ stay.
This June, the prestigious campground celebrates its 40th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, a new neighborhood of high-end, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly housing will be opened.

Le Domaine de la Dragonnière, green soul
In line with Sandaya Group’s CSR commitments to sustainable tourism, Le Domaine de la Dragonnière is now home to a neighborhood of 50 new chalets and 40 mobile homes that comply with the 2020 Environmental Regulations. The new accommodations were built using eco-responsible and low-carbon materials , and also feature pile foundations that eliminate the need for concrete, thus preserving natural soil.
The site was awarded the Green Key label in 2010 and, as part of the Sandaya’s Way of Life., has undertaken a number of initiatives to optimize resource management, including waste separation, electric vehicle charging points, and eco-responsible shopping on a daily basis.
Le Domaine de la Dragonnière, a place to feel… at home
Le Domaine de la Dragonnière is a facility designed as a small village, located in a secure and fenced park, and offers a full range of services, stores, and facilities: bakery, convenience store, hairdresser, wellness area, 18,000 m2 water park, 4 themed restaurants, coworking space, and even a dog park. La Dragonnière also has been voted the best dog-friendly campsite in France (ACSI Awards 2024).
