Swan Lake, the first glamping in the Casentino region

It is called The Swan Lake and it is the first glamping facility in the beautiful Casentino valley, with a restaurant open all year round. It is located precisely in the area of the artificial lake of Lappola, in the territory of Chiusi della Verna, a Tuscan Eden that promises comfort and adventure in perfect connection with the nature that surrounds you.

The ‘idea of creating a glamping facility is to Walter Malagnino, a Roman entrepreneur who was literally won over by the beauty of Casentino, and it was in a disused quarry that he imagined an oasis of peace. From dream to reality thanks to the work done in synergy with the mayor of Chiusi della Verna Giampaolo Tellini and with the city government, a project that took off with the signing of an agreement for a tourist orientation center with public use.

In 2021, the redevelopment project for the area was launched, and last December 15, Swan Lake opened its doors, offering its Guests a unique experience of sustainable tourism. As stated by Mayor Tellini: ” We have always believed in quality tourism, the kind that respects places, that enhances them. The area where this ultra-modern glamping was inaugurated today is classified, in the Municipal Operational Plan, as zone F3, that is, an area where it is allowed to build a tourist orientation center “.

Swan Lake is a top-notch facility that combines luxury and authenticity of an immersive stay while respecting the environment. The owner of Malagnino glamping says, ” I was looking for a place of peace, away from the city, a place of dreams where I could create a facility where everyone could benefit from the natural beauty in complete relaxation. By pure chance I came across Lappola Pond. “.

A project that enhances the area and boosts the work of those who live there, the same structure was built by the company Lam Ambiente, a Casentino company specializing in wood and green building construction, and the work was coordinated by architect Federico Lorenzoni.

A true corner of paradise where you can experience the nature that surrounds you, on foot or by bicycle, and enjoy the calm waters of Lapponi Lake: the facility organizes numerous activities such as canoe rentals, small boats and Stand-Up paddle. Lago dei Cigni is a virtuous example that combines a glamorous environment and adventure, in a corner of Tuscan paradise waiting to be discovered.
