The conference “Health, Sustainability and Safety in the Aquatic World” was held yesterday, March 11, 2025, an event that brought together institutions, experts and practitioners, organized at the Refectory Hall of the Library of the Chamber of Deputies.
Swimming pools and aquatic facilities are increasingly important elements in the offerings of the open-air sector such that they become not only attractions that validate camping facilities and resorts, but also elements that can build customer loyalty, a real element of economic and strategic development for open-air tourism.
Increasingly important central investments but at the same time requiring careful attention and regular maintenance. Fundamental to this are high structural, hygiene, innovation and safety standards, which are essential aspects for ensuring a high-level guest experience. Another focus covered at the conference was the training of facilities staff, which is essential for the safety and maintenance of facilities.
Swimming pools and aquatic facilities must also respond to efficient management of water and energy resources, functionality in line with green logic and environmental sustainability.
Also present at the conference was FAITA Federcamping President Alberto Granzotto , who stressed, “The open-air vacation is strongly marked by the need for freedom, contact with nature and fun. An integral part of what the sector offers today is the aquatic world, represented in our accommodations by swimming pools and water parks. Increases in quality, technology and safety have prompted campgrounds and resorts to allocate substantial investment in this sector, making these facilities indispensable for attracting and retaining national and international guests “.
