Veneto: 9 Blue Flags 2025

The Veneto Region has achieved 9 Blue Flags. Winning this prestigious recognition are the resorts of:

  • San Michele al Tagliamento
  • Caorle
  • Heraclea
  • Jesolo
  • Cavallino Treporti
  • Venice
  • Chioggia
  • Rosolina
  • Porto Tolle

Blue Flags is an award given by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to European coastal resorts that meet quality criteria related to bathing water parameters , accessibility, safety, and service offered, taking into consideration, for example, the cleanliness of beaches and tourist landings. The award is very important, and is present in 52 countries and more than 5,000 coastal sites (European and more recently also from outside Europe).

Nationwide, 246 Blue Flags are flying along the boot, 10 more than last year. There are 487 beaches, which corresponds to about 11.5 percent worldwide.

In Italy, Veneto once again stands out, maintaining its high prestige as not only a much-loved but also a hyper-awarded seaside destination. This is also a considerable incentive for open-air tourism , which has numerous excellent facilities along its coast.

This is yet another success achieved, whichRegional Councillor for Tourism Federico Caner comments, “Kudos to all the operators, local governments and communities who contribute every day not only with investments to maintain very high environmental, safety and hospitality standards.”

The Councilor concludes, “It is proof that we are working well, but also that we must continue to support this system with responsible and forward-looking choices, because environment and tourism, in our area, walk together.”
