World Tourism Event 2025: Rome to host UNESCO world heritage event

The World Tourism Event 2025 is the only event dedicated to the tourism promotion of UNESCO World Heritage Sites where institutions, tourism boards, industry professionals and the public of passionate travelers have the opportunity to meet, inform and compare notes. The goal is to raise awareness and increase the value of quality tourism, which aims at the knowledge and sharing of cultural and scenic beauty around the world.

Italy is at the forefront, as it ranks among the richest UNESCO heritage destinations on the planet, and Rome, could only offer itself as a perfect stage to host WTE 2025.

This year’s World Tourism Event for World Heritage Sites reaches its 16th edition. It will take place next September 25 and 26 inside the monumental complex of Santo Spirito in Sassia, in the heart of the Capital. The WTE 2025 event was presented last Feb. 9 at BIT in Milan, in the Lazio Region exhibition space.

An appointment for industry professionals but also for travelers

WTE 2025 offers a rich program that includes a b2b workshop intended for buyers international buyers, selected in collaboration with ENIT – National Tourism Agency, and to sellers Italians who are based and operate in the areas included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and who intend to promote the territory, accommodations, experiences, and culture of these areas. The event will take place on the day of September 25, with one session in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The public will also be able to attend the event and access anexhibition area with free admission. In this space, they will be able to find all the information regarding UNESCO World Heritage Sites, both Italian and international, get up-to-date on the tourist-accommodation offer, and get in touch with tourism bodies and operators. Also planned is an events and entertainment space, ideal for the little ones. At WTE 2025 everything is designed to boost cultural tourism and its heritages, as it is essential to learn about them and value them from an early age.
