From February 10 to 12, at BolognaFiere, the event returns as part of XLeisure, along with ForumClub, and at the same time as Outex – Outdoor Experience dedicated to the design and evolution of outdoor spaces and to Be Fire – International Biomass Heating & Fire Fair, the new hub dedicated to biomass heating and the forest-wood-energy sector. Swimming Pool Forum It offers companies in the swimming pool, spa, and wellness sectors an opportunity to showcase their solutions, strengthen business relationships, and expand business opportunities—in part through initiatives designed to facilitate meetings with international industry professionals.
ForumPiscine Targets International Buyers: New Business Opportunities for Exhibitors
For ForumPiscine, international visitors serve as a driver of business growth, offering exhibiting companies the opportunity to connect directly with foreign buyers, showcase products and technologies, and establish new business relationships. Among the expected attendees is a delegation of professionals from Morocco, including importers, distributors, installers, and designers from the swimming pool and wellness industry. The group will be accompaniedby architect Karim Sabi, president of the National Order of Architects of Morocco, and by Francesco Bresolin., owner of Medinit, a company that serves as a platform for accessing the Moroccan market. Morocco offers attractive opportunities for growth, driven by investments in the tourism and hospitality sectors, the expansion of the mid-to-high-end real estate market, and programs to modernize lodging facilities. Water, in particular, plays a strategic role: alongside the construction of new swimming pools, opportunities are emerging for companies specializing in facility retrofitting, energy and water efficiency, and water treatment technologies. This is a multifaceted market where the expertise of Italian companies can find opportunities for growth and collaboration. ForumPiscine aims to further expand its international reach with the arrival of additional foreign delegations, fostering new opportunities for Italian companies to connect with international markets. Also expected at the trade show are managers of garden centers, wholesalers, and mass-retail specialists from France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Switzerland, and other international markets, with the goal of fostering new business opportunities.
Experiential Areas: The Dialogue Between Pools, Wellness, and the Outdoors
The uniqueness of ForumPiscine is further enhanced by its co-location with OUTEX – Outdoor Experience, which connects the world of swimming pools with the design of outdoor spaces. A genuine bridge between architecture, comfort, and design that will take shape through two new immersive areas set up at the Expo, dedicated to the connections between wellness, nature, and environmental quality.
A key feature of this interconnection is Wellness Alive, the concept exhibit designed by the architect Alberto Apostoli and from the study Apostoli Wellness Creators, which brings an advanced and international vision of wellness to the fair. A project spanning approximately 250 square meters that helps define the event’s positioning, highlighting the dialogue between wellness, architecture, technology, and nature, and opening up new avenues for collaboration across sectors and markets. The installation unfolds within a modular and multifunctional space, characterized by precise geometries and organized into three pathways dedicated to three distinct dimensions of wellness: body and performance, mind and focus, and spirit and the individual. A holistic and relational conception of wellness, designed to engage visitors and offer new inspiration to designers, professionals, and companies.
The value of the project extends beyond the boundaries of XLeisure: for the first time, Wellness Alive will be a traveling exhibition, with upcoming stops at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna (March 18–21, 2027) andthe International Design Expo in Chicago (July 28–29, 2027). Participating in three different international trade shows reinforces the concept’s reach and offers additional visibility to the companies involved in creating the exhibition area, integrating them into a promotional campaign that spans complementary sectors.
At the same time, the renewed collaboration between XLeisure and AIAPP—the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture —will focus on a “hidden garden” designed by landscape architect Simone Ottonello. Designed to promote contemplation and well-being, the installation explores the relationship between humans and nature through the four elements—Fire, Air, Earth, and Water—and a fifth symbolic element, the life force. Thanks to the innovative use of materials, the project offers replicable solutions for gardens and terraces.
ForumPiscine, a forum for discussion across the entire supply chain… and beyond
Among the notable initiatives is City Vision Sport & Life, a project born out of a partnership between XLeisure and City Vision, which will bring together public officials, experts, and companies for an in-depth discussion on the future of aquatic and sports facilities, with a focus on governance, sustainability, efficiency, and innovative solutions for managing facilities and outdoor spaces. This discussion is part of a broader conference program dedicated to the sector’s main challenges, ranging from energy efficiency to smart technologies, as well as the quality and management of facilities. At ForumPiscine, safety will be a key theme, taking center stage in thematic sessions and roundtables, particularly in anticipation of the enactment of the Framework Law on Health and Safety in Swimming Pools. The long-standing collaboration with Assopiscine will help enrich the event’s technical and educational offerings, fostering dialogue and the sharing of expertise among the various stakeholders in the industry. The program will include the Pool Builders Days, an in-depth series of sessions aimed at builders, designers, and installers
Rounding out the offerings at ForumPiscine 2027 is a network of partnerships aimed at strengthening the swimming pool and wellness sector and developing synergies with the hospitality and sports industries. Among the organizations involved—with agreements currently being finalized—are associations, sports federations, and institutions such as Acquanet, FIN, FIPSAS, FAITA–FEDERCAPING, Federalberghi Terme, and the Agriturismo.it portal. Participation will take the form of exhibition booths, meetings, and thematic sessions, fostering the exchange of expertise and opening up new business opportunities.
The connection between indoor and outdoor spaces is expanding with Be Fire – International Biomass Heating & Fire Fair, the new event dedicated to biomass heating technologies and the forest-wood-energy supply chain. The event’s offerings complement various aspects of leisure and outdoor living, ranging from biomass heating solutions to outdoor cooking technologies, including ovens, wood- and pellet-fired outdoor stoves, fire pits, and barbecues.
