Campsite swimming pools open to water safety courses thanks to Fnhpa

Campsite news from France. More than 160 swimming pools inside campsites have been made available to support students’ learning in ‘aquatic ease’. The initiative was espoused by FNHPA and was made possible by an agreement signed in 2022 between the Ministries of National Education, Sport and Tourism and professionals in the tourist hospitality sector. The collaboration between these entities has ‘opened up’ campsites to the world of education and learning in general. In this case of skills that can make students safer on the water.

Leading role for federcamping France

The National Federation of Outdoor Accommodation (FNHPA) played a key role by regularly inviting campsites to join through a dedicated online platform. The platform allows registration for establishments wishing to make their pools available. Once registration is complete and information on available facilities is provided, campsites are integrated into a map.

What is the point of joining the network

Access to this network of swimming pools on campsites not only provides support for the valuable need to move safely in the water, but also creates an opportunity for users to get to know the campsites involved. In France, the initiative continues to grow and the enthusiasm of entrepreneurs who make their facilities available for this cause is tangible. Currently, no other state has replicated the initiative.
