The camp site, which is flanked by a b&b with three themed rooms and a small agritourism consisting of two bedrooms plus services (agriturismo Erbe Matte), all under the same ownership, is located on the southern part of the island, the most fascinating in terms of landscape and views, but also the most convenient for reaching the various beaches and bays overlooking an unspoilt sea. The eastern part of the island, on the other hand, overlooks the lagoon, which cannot be bathed in, but which offers beautiful walks amidst the salt-pan system and various water birds, including flamingos. The northern and northwestern part is most exposed to the prevailing mistral wind. We are on the road that leads to the Semaforo di Capo Sperone, one of the island’s best-loved and most visited monuments: a fantastic 360° panorama from Capo Teulada to the island of San Pietro and its fascinating ruins that turn red at sunset. Near the camp site, a number of typical restaurants offer the best of local produce, from sea and land, amazing wines and tasty cheeses. The two main towns on the island, Sant’Antioco and Calasetta, are about 15 km away: here you can find banks, post offices, supermarkets, a medical service, but above all many places to spend a pleasant evening, characteristic shops and local handicrafts
