The European Camping Group (ECG) acquired Vacanceselect in early 2023. This merger will bring important news for camping enthusiasts in Europe.
From the 2024 season, Vacanceselect accommodations will join Homair and Eurocamp, already part of the ECG Group. This merger represents an opportunity for campers, as Camping Vision, a subsidiary of ECG, will transform the Vacanceselect brand into an even wider platform for holidays. The Vacanceselect name will be inherited by Camping Vision, which will position it as a reference point for holidays in many European countries.
What does all this mean for campers? In addition to the more than a thousand high quality 4 and 5 star campsites present, several holiday parks and family resorts will be added. An important step forward for Camping Vision, which wishes to achieve its goal of becoming the leading provider of family holidays in Europe.
With the addition of the Vacanceselect brand, Camping Vision is creating a new distribution platform for campsites and tour operators in more than 16 countries. This will allow campers to book holiday accommodation across Europe, using a huge choice of campsites, holiday parks and family resorts. Thanks to Camping Vision’s internal expertise in the fields of digital marketing, sales and IT, platform partners will receive continuous sales support and will have the opportunity to optimize the occupancy rate of their establishments, thus increasing attendances . In addition, campers will be able to count on better payment conditions and personal contact with the Camping Vision contract managers.
With the integration of Vacanceselect into Camping Vision’s systems and working methods, booking European holiday accommodation will be easier and more convenient.
Camping Vision is a tour operator based in Switzerland and the Netherlands, known for its brands Allcamps, LuxCamp and the Danish brands Danskbilferie and Friferie. The history of Vacanceselect begins in 1984 when Loek van de Loo founded the Dutch company. Over the years, Vacanceselect has grown rapidly and expanded into Italy, becoming an outdoor camping organization with international operations. In 2018, the company was acquired by the French company Vacalians and continued its activities under the name Vacanceselect Group. Now, with the takeover by European Camping Group, Vacanceselect will team up with Camping Vision to create an even better experience for campers across Europe.
