Club del Sole has a new expansion plan ready

Club del Sole continues its constant growth towards the ambitious goals of exceeding 100 million euros in turnover in 2023 and reaching 3.5 million attendances. Despite the necessary effort, the numbers seem to support the Italian operator, which was founded in the seventies and is still led by the president Riccardo Giondi, supported by the managing director Francesco Giondi and by the general manager Angelo Cartelli.

The president comments that in 2022 turnover increased by 51% compared to 2019, approaching 3 million visitors. This year, thanks to continuous investments, which amount to 30 million euros a year and will rise to 35 million in 2023, Club del Sole is ready to take another leap forward.

Currently, the group owns twenty establishments which offer work to over 1,500 collaborators during the season. Furthermore, it has ambitious expansion plans, which could lead to the opening of new facilities not only in Italy, but also in other Mediterranean destinations.

The CEO adds that this year Club del Sole has embarked on important projects, including the opening of two new facilities in Rimini and Riccione for the summer. Also, they are investing in the digital infrastructure and will soon launch the new website. The goal is to offer a product that goes beyond the traditional concept of camping and village. The payoff “Full life holidays” well represents the philosophy of the Club del Sole, which is based on quality and flexibility as fundamental elements.

During the Covid era, Italian customers rediscovered this philosophy and never abandoned it. Before the pandemic, 60% of the guests were foreigners, but since 2022 the percentage has reversed and another very positive season is expected this year.

The secret of this success, says the general manager of Club del Sole Angelo Cartelli, lies in the innovative formula proposed by the Club del Sole, which differs from the old campsites and offers new contents. Maintaining the philosophy of a holiday in contact with nature, the Club del Sole has focused on an enhanced type of village, with 4-star services and innovative solutions, such as the tents suspended between the trees, created thanks to the collaboration with The Nest.

To extend the seasonality, the Club del Sole takes advantage of the opportunities offered by the MICE sector (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) through Workin’Glamp, allowing it to expand its activity during the months before and after the high season.
