The Congrés de Càmpings de Catalunya , will be held on April 25 and 26 at the Vilanova Park Camping in Vilanova i la Geltrú, in the province of Barcelona. This is a major event for the entire European camping industry, organized by the Catalan Federation of Campsites. (FCC). During the two-day event, key topics for the industry will be addressed: sustainability, with a focus on climate change, digitalization and future trends at the European level.
Themes that project the interests of the camping world nationally and internationally, without losing sight of the organizers’ goals: to create a synergy among the region’s campgrounds, a major destination for tourism open air in Europe, enhance the brand “Càmpings de Catalunya“, and the role of campsites within Catalonia’s tourism sector and economy, which boasts a total of 351 campsites and 271,419 sites, employing more than 13,500 people.

The Congress of Campsites of Catalonia will take place over two days and will follow a rich program, including presentations, debates and workshops during which experts and companies in the sector will present the latest innovations and services outlining future trends at the European level. An interesting comparison to contextualize a fast-changing industry that aims for innovation without distorting the authenticity of a proposal in close contact with nature.

April 25: “Campsites in Catalonia: economic impact, relevant data, and sustainable benefits“; it will then continue with two panel discussions, “Climate change and the camping industry: risks and opportunities” e “Future camping: exploring sustainable and innovative solutions“, and with a presentation dedicated to the “Challenges and opportunities of digitalization for the camping industry.“.
Evening of April 25: 1st Catalan Campgrounds Gala, during which awards will be given to prominent figures in the industry and companies that have distinguished themselves for their contribution to the development of the sector.
April 26: European-level discussion among industry players on the future of open-air. The panel discussion titled “Key Perspectives” will be attended by PiNCAMP, ACSI and the University of Rijeka, Croatia; while the discussion “European Dialogue” will feature the Italian camping federation FAITA-Federcamping, Spain’s FEEC and Catalonia’s FCC.
