The Experiencias Campings España project, promoted by the Spanish Federation of Campsites (FEEC) and the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations (CEHAT), financed by the “Experiencias Turismo España” program of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism is aiming to improve the competitiveness of the national camping network.
The chosen strategy aims to combine the fun of the campsites with the development of activities present in their surroundings (guided visits to monuments of tourist interest, cycle or pedestrian routes, visits to agri-food establishments where it is possible to taste products and preparations). So all the initiatives concerning outdoor tourism.
THE IDEAS OF SPANISH CAMPING AGENTS
In an initial phase, Experiencias Campings España saw the organization of conferences and meetings with the network of Spanish camping agents, brought together in the integrated territorial associations (FEEC), in which the project was presented and reflections on national strategic experiences were initiated. From the meeting and thanks to the debate, seven tourist experiences were identified to be developed to promote the sector.
The seven experiences that Spain wants to focus on are: cycle tourism, active, naturalistic and rural tourism, cultural, food and wine, family-children and blue-aquatic.
GO TO THE NETWORK OF THE SEVEN EXPERIENCES
Experiencias Campings España has also envisaged a second phase, still open, aimed at identifying the companies and organizations that can provide services and activities linked to the seven experiences. The ultimate goal is to create an increasingly large group of camping agents gathered under Experiencias Campings España. Then connect the establishments, the activity companies and the different customer profiles, allowing the latter to organize and plan trips based on the desired experience and their tourism motivations. All to produce a positive impact both on users and on the territory.
