Luxury and respect for nature are the musts of glamping, a type of camping confirmed as the first trend in Italy. Comfort and services that often have little to envy to multi-starred structures, are conquering increasingly large slices of the market, thanks to a respectable offer.
In Italy the glamping share is close to 20% calculated on the more than 2,000 structures, including campsites and tourist villages, present in the area. It is a solution that knows how to attract the attention and imagination of tourists, thanks to an ultra-diversified offer made up of tree houses, houseboats, tents resting on the lake’s waters, transparent bubbles with a view of the stars. Glamping remains a sustainable choice dictated by the desire to experience a totally open-air holiday, which is why a third (about 700) of the structures in Italy are located in mountain or lake areas.
“Glamping can represent a decisive element for the growth of the sector and a better definition of the tourist offer in the open air” explained the national president of Faita-FederCamping Alberto Granzotto from the “Hospitality” reception hall in Riva del Garda, international event that is proving to be crucial for understanding the economic scenarios of open-air tourism in Italy.
