Holiday Village Florenz in Lido degli Scacchi (Ferrara) was awarded at the Adac Camping Awards 2023 as the best campsite in Europe in the “Demographic change and accessibility” category. It is the only Italian campsite awarded among the accommodation facilities from 11 European countries.
Adac is the largest camping club in Europe and every year it awards the best campsites, divided into four categories: “Sustainability and attention to the environment”, “Innovation and progress ”, “Demographic change and accessibility” and “Adac Camping Booking”.
The awards ceremony was held last Friday in Stuttgart, Germany. On stage to collect the award, presented by Uwe Frers, CEO of Pincamp (the portal of ADAC campsites), there were Gianfranco Vitali (owner of the Holiday Village Florenz) and Roberto Vitali (CEO of Village for all, a company specialized in inclusive, which took care of all aspects of accessibility of the Florenz).
Gianfranco Vitali comments on the award received: «It is an enormous satisfaction, which we share with our family, with our friends and with all our guests, who have followed and visited us since 1965. The process for an accessible and inclusive structure began in 2006 with the advice of Village for all and led to the elimination of all barriers for people with motor disabilities. In 2022 the project continued for the reception of people with visual impairments. We thank Adac and Pincamp for having selected us and for having given our village such a prestigious and gratifying recognition».
