The luxury camping Lago Idro Glamping Boutique in Anfo, a picturesque village on the shores of Lake Idro in Lombardy, was awarded by the Royal Dutch Tourist Association (ANWB) – the Dutch travellers’ association founded in 1883 – for the “teepes” present in structure. The “lodge types” recall the conical structures in which the American Indians lived, but it was not only for this detail that they attracted the attention of the ANWB.
The solution proposed by Leonardo Van de Loo, the Italian-Dutch owner of Lago Indro Glamping, offers a two-story “teepe” with kitchen, complete bathroom with shower, Nepresso coffee machine and outdoor furniture. Among the comforts an electric barbecue, a private jacuzzi as well as lakefront life.
Van de Loo, who is also the founder of the Italian-Dutch holding “Vacanze con il cuore”, was awarded during the “Camping van het Yaar” gala evening of the Anwb Awards 2023 for the best proposal in the “exterior solution” category.
On the other hand, six Italian structures present in Trentino Alto-Adige have been included in the “ANWB Top Camping”, certified five stars after inspections by the association, and therefore included among the 219 top European campsites recognized by the Royal Dutch Tourist Association.
