They are becoming more and more popular all over the world, and Italian campsites cannot be left behind. Refreshing, reassuring and colorful, non-alcoholic drinks are the new frontier of mixology and are experiencing a great increase in proposals, experiments and dedicated raw materials.
According to Diageo, which launched Tanqueray 0.0% (non-alcoholic version of the famous Tanqueray London Dry gin) on the European market, the consumption of alcohol-free or very low-alcohol drinks will grow by 23% over the next three years, since drinking does not necessarily mean drinking. alcohol, and more and more responsible and health-conscious people are preferring non-alcoholic drinks rather than the classic and unhealthy industrial sugary drinks.
In particular, gin producers are in turmoil on this front, and very interesting proposals are also coming from Italy: for example, the Sabatini family of Cortona has launched the non-alcoholic distillate GINO °, which boasts a typically Mediterranean aromatic balance obtained thanks to a exclusive infusion process of sage, thyme, olive leaves, lavender and verbena; while Winestillery introduced Hyper Low Gin, an intense artisan distillate that allows you to make the classic gin and tonic in a non-alcoholic version: bottled in a 100 ml bottle with a dropper cap, just one milliliter diluted in 200 milliliters of tonic water is enough to have a cocktail very respectable, but with just 0.35% alcohol.
Again, another new entry in the non-alcoholic drinks market is MeMento Blue, a very summery blend of distilled aromatic waters, inspired by the saline essence of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a recipe revisited from the Florentine Cookbook of 1498: clear, fresh, spicy and savory, this non-alcoholic drink is about to become very popular in bars all over Italy.
