PiNCAMP GmbH is born. Anwb and Tcs shareholders of Adac

Starting in spring, PiNCAMP GmbH will become the operator of anwbcamping.nl. ADAC in Germany, the ANWB in the Netherlands and the TCS in Switzerland have partnered to expand their respective digital camping activities. In detail, ANWB and TCS become shareholders of the new PiNCAMP GmbH (formerly ADAC Camping). The collaboration is set to transform the camping sector in Europe, offering benefits to both campers and campsites themselves. With an investment of €6.6 million, the initiative promises to bring major changes to the way European travelers organize and enjoy camping holidays. The shareholders will aim to develop the shared booking platform. One of the most notable aspects of the agreement is the direct access to over 27 million members of the car clubs involved. A basin that offers the new PiNCAMP important numbers for the camping sector, allowing the structures to reach a vast audience of European campers.

Benefits for campers and campsites

PiNCAMP GmbH will facilitate greater connectivity between campers and camping facilities, and further benefits:

  1. Wide choice for campers: campers from the three countries will be able to benefit from a wider offer of campsites to choose from for their holidays. This increases flexibility and the opportunity to find the perfect campsite for their needs.
  2. One platform: The creation of a common portal on the domains anwbcamping.nl, pincamp.de and pincamp.ch simplifies processes and reduces administrative costs for campsites. This allows campgrounds to focus on providing high-quality services and the details of the camping experience.
  3. Deseasonalisation: thanks to the different holiday periods in the three countries involved, PiNCAMP will promote a more uniform use of campsites, helping to keep the facilities active during the low season.
  4. Internationalization: PiNCAMP is already planning the release of English, French and Italian versions of its portal, making the camping experience in Europe even more accessible and international.

Official link between car clubs and camping

The agreement clearly has economic benefits, but at the same time it materializes the continuation of a historic link between car clubs and the camping sector. The clubs involved have played a crucial role in guiding campers and campsites over the last 70 years, establishing long-term relationships of trust. Uwe Frers, CEO of ADAC Camping GmbH and the new PiNCAMP GmbH, highlighted the importance of working collaboratively with the camping industry to shape the sector’s digital future.
