Sandaya accelerates its expansion, and after Spain and Belgium, signs purchase agreement with PGIM Real Estate to acquire new sites of excellence for a total of 1,700 new pitches. The facilities are: Europa Camping Village***** (Cavallino Treporti, Venice),International Camping Etruria (Marina di Castagneto), Pianacce Camping Village (Castagneto di Carducci) and Toscana Bella Camping Village (Vada).
The two largest sites, Europa Camping Village***** and International Camping Etruria are by the sea in Veneto and Tuscany, respectively, two of the most popular locations for tourists to spend an outdoor beach vacation.
This expansion confirms the rise of the French group, a chain of 4&5-star open-air hotels founded in 2010 by François Georges and Xavier Guilbert, two managers with backgrounds in the tourism industry. The Sandaya Group was already present in Italy through a business partnership with the Baia Holiday Group, and with this additional step it is establishing an increasingly influential presence in the Bel Paese, Europe’s second-largest market for outdoor accommodations, aiming to participate in the upward shift and consolidation in this market.
This new contract will have a domino effect capable of strengthening Sandaya’s presence in several outbound markets, including Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
The acquisition is part of the group’s European development strategy initiated in Belgium (Parc La Clusure****, Belgian Ardennes, voted best campsite in Belgium 2024*) and Spain (Cypsela Resort****, Costa Brava, first campsite in Spain to receive the Green Key label, and Valencia***, Puçol). With this latest move, the Sandaya Group will realize about 20 percent of its sales outside France.
In addition to these acquisitions, Sandaya Group is actively investing in infrastructure, housing, and its ESG strategy to meet the expectations of its European clients.
